The choir at St. Ignatius includes men and women of all ages. We have varying vocal abilities and experience, but we all share in our love of singing as an expression of our faith. We're a volunteer group, with no auditions. Reading music is not a prerequisite, as many choir members learn through their experience with us.
We sing every Sunday at the 11 a.m. Mass from September to May, and on major Feast Days (Midnight Mass, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Vigil). Practices are every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the choir loft of the church. We ask that members commit to attending at least 75% of choir practices.
All ranges of voices are welcome: sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses. We sing a variety of music ranging from classical to spirituals, mostly in four-part harmony.
We welcome you to join our choir. Feel free to attend a rehearsal and meet our group, or contact the director for more information.
